Tutbury, Staffordshire 1089 - 1989

1989 was special for Tutbury as St. Mary's Priory Church was celebrating 900 years since its founding by Henry de Ferrers.

It was celebrated throughout the year with a Dedication Service, concerts, music festivals, a 'Son et Lumiere', a flower festival and various exhibitions. 15th August is 'Tutbury Day'

On Saturday 8th July there was a street market, pageant and procession followed by a firework display at the Castle.
